My child has always had a bit of an attitude problem. I’m going to take the blame for that one. I’m a natural redhead and it is true what they say about our temper…it’s spicy. We had such a busy Thanksgiving break and let me tell you that Brax was on one the whole time. He has been refusing to go to sleep until well after 11 pm and sleeping in until 10 am. I have always been pretty strict about the bedtime routine in our house. We have fallen off the wagon, but this mommy is losing her mind. I cracked down tonight. He slept in until about 9:30 this morning and we skipped nap time. Bath time was at 6:30 followed by quiet play time with puzzles in his bedroom. We are off to a pretty good start. He was asleep by 8:00 and my fingers are crossed that he sleeps through the night in his own bed.
Hoping that tomorrows routine is slightly back to normal I plan on implementing a fun bedtime chart. We started working on it awhile ago but never got around to finishing it. I’m going to have Brax glue the last few pics on tomorrow. I got the idea from Pinterest. I get so many crafty ideas from there. I don’t know what anyone did before Pinterest came around.
I love this idea. It is so easy to create. I let Braxton color the background picture and he helped me pick out the picture for each step in the routine. He loves being apart of our creations.
Stay tuned for more on my threenagers attitude problem and some of my little tricks. Being a preschool teacher for 10 years gave me a slight advantage in the mommy department for this age. I mean teaching preschoolers and raising one are two worlds all their own, but some of my “Miss Cori” tricks still come in use from time to time.
