At 6:30 this morning I was standing in my bathroom putting my face on. Braxton was still asleep and Andy hadn’t returned home from work yet. My house was completely silent and the aroma of coffee filled my kitchen. A lot of moms thrive during this time of the day. Me, not so much. I wanted so badly to climb back into bed and snuggle with my soon to be 3-year-old. This is something that I am trying to change!

I don’t think I will ever be a morning person but I would like to stick to the routine of getting out of bed while the rest of my world is still quiet. I didn’t feel rushed out the door and I didn’t have one fight with Braxton about making me late to work. I did however still manage to wear my sweater inside out all the way to work and half way through my first patient. Andy of course made a joke that my brain only works in scramble mode.

Anyways over the next few days I plan on posting about the new ideas I have been implementing in my house to keep us all on a better schedule. Our routines are switching up a bit. I’ve been creating some fun ways for Braxton to get more involved with the routines as well. I have found a few chart ideas on Pinterest and I think the one we are crafting is pretty cool. I’m excited to share it with you.

I’ve also been trying to cook more meals at home and try new recipes. My boys are so insanely picky that it makes meal planning almost impossible, but I have been spending a lot of time trying to figure out a new system. I’m hoping that you guys can throw out any ideas that you use at home to help me become more successful with this. So moms get your recipes out and please take a moment to share!!
